A renovated venue, new stages, and an expected 30,000 people per day, double the number of last year.

In two days, the O Sol da Caparica Festival returns to the Costa da Caparica Urban Park to fill the space with music and energy. From August 14th to 17th, the 30,000 m² venue, which can accommodate 30,000 festival-goers per day, will experience another historic edition. “This 10th edition offers the best lineup ever for O Sol da Caparica, demonstrating that the festival values and represents Portuguese and Lusophone music,” confirms André Sardet, the festival promoter. The organisation, which brings together the companies Domingo no Mundo and Music Mov, owned by André Sardet and António Gomes, and the Almada City Council, promises to continue bringing in big names from the national music scene until 2026.
The festival opens at 4 p.m., and there are three entrances available. On the last day of the festival, August 17, the Costa da Caparica Urban Park opens between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for Children’s Day, with activities designed for children and food trucks available. Tickets cost €3 and are still available on MeoBlueticket.

Throughout the 30,000 m², there are six restroom blocks, more than 35 food options in the food court, and nearly 20 bar areas to ensure shows aren’t missed in lines. The food court also has ATMs.
Sustainability goes hand in hand with the festival, and O Sol da Caparica is proudly an EcoEvent. In addition to this year’s edition offering more recycling stations, with paper and plastic containers scattered throughout the venue, the festival also guarantees several water points throughout the Costa da Caparica Urban Park.
The venue also features new partners and brand activations throughout the venue, promising to offer extra experiences and moments of fun for festival-goers.

In a festival dedicated to music, there’s also room for comedy. Among this year’s new features, a highlight is the Digital Stage, designed for the new generation, tuned into the latest trends.
Os Primos, Plágio, and Cubinho: in this new space, laughter and humour are guaranteed, in an irreverent format that brings artists closer to the audience.
In addition, the 10th edition will be the largest ever and features two additional stages that will host 37 artists over the four days of the festival. Representing a unique atmosphere and spirit, recognised by both audiences and artists, the shows are designed entirely for O Sol da Caparica.

The Sagres Stage, the festival’s epicentre, opens on August 14th with Neyna’s vocals and continues into the night with performances by David Carreira, Julinho KSD, Dillaz, and Plutonio. On the second day of the festival, festival-goers can expect Bia Caboz, Matias Damásio, Grupo Menos é Mais, Nininho Vaz Maia, and Richie Campbell.
On Saturday, August 16th, Rich & Mendes, Soraia Ramos, and Lon3r Johny will take to the Sagres Stage. But this third day of the festival will be marked by the return of Da Weasel.

The band will perform a two-hour concert designed entirely for O Sol da Caparica, their first concert in Almada since the hiatus. From the light show to the special setlist, which includes some surprises and songs not yet heard since the Portuguese band returned to action, Da Weasel promises a night that will be remembered by all fans.
On August 17th, the festival will close with the Portuguese hip hop group Wet Bed Gang. Before that, festival-goers at O Sol da Caparica can enjoy performances by Bispo, Pikika, MC PH, and Tabanka Djaz.

Throughout the four days of the festival, the Bandida Stage promises to liven up the summer afternoons and evenings. There, you can hear everything from hip hop to funk, with artists like Mundo Segundo, Mariana Pereira, Miguel Luz, Miguel Carmona, Sertaneijinho, Curt Davis, and many others.
For those who don’t want to miss the 10th edition of O Sol da Caparica but can’t attend, RTP, the festival’s media partner, will broadcast several live concerts.
