The XII Eurocidade MTB expects the participation of 1200 bikes next Sunday, March 9th and is positioned as the great sports event of Valença and Tui and a reference for the sport in the Northwest of the Peninsula.
At 8 am (PT) the race is scheduled to start from Avenida da Juventude in Valença and the finish line will be located at Praça da República, in front of the City Hall, in Fortaleza de Valença.
This international event is non-competitive and, as usual, consists of two courses, one of 45 km and the other of 75 km.
The 45 km route is designed to allow you to enjoy the natural, scenic and heritage beauty of the region. This route will have a medium-high level of physical difficulty, with a positive elevation gain of 1200 meters, accessible to cyclists with a certain level of physical preparation. This route includes climbing Monte do Faro, Monte de Aloia, passing through the historic centres of Valença and Tui, the international bridge and many other natural and heritage points in the region.
The long route, 75 km long, has a high physical difficulty and a medium technical difficulty, with a positive elevation gain of 1,950 meters.
This is a captivating event for bike lovers, due to the atmosphere it provides, and the spectacular routes prepared in detail so that you can experience the landscape and the trials that explore the technique of the riders.

The departure of the first 500 cyclists will occur in order of registration.
The organization is by the Eurocity Tui Valença, the Biciosos Rias Baixas Cycling Club with the support of the Galician Cycling Federation, Galician Sports, and the Pontevedra Council.
