13th Rota do Petisco starts today and in the municipality of Loulé
with mouth-watering proposals
It’s nothing new: at this time of year, Loulé is one of the Algarve municipalities that receives the Rota do Petisco. From September 15 to October 15, 12 establishments in the municipality will present tempting proposals for those who enjoy a good snack, at attractive prices, and with a solidarity component.
Diners will be able to enjoy snacks from 176 restaurants in the 11 participating municipalities (in addition to Loulé, Aljezur, Vila do Bispo, Lagos, Portimão, Monchique, Lagoa, Silves, Albufeira and São Brás de Alportel and Tavira).
To enjoy these proposals, you must purchase a Passport, which costs €1.50 and guarantees access to the event. At each stop, a stamp… And the more snacks you try and the more stamps you collect, the more chances you have of winning excellent prizes.
Rota presents the Petisco Menu (dish + drink), worth €4, and the Sweet Menu (dessert + snack), worth €2.50. During this month, it will be possible to “go around the world”, with gastronomic proposals from other stops on the Rota do Mundo, with a selection of typical dishes from other countries.
One of the highlights of this edition is the Vegetarian Option, which is increasingly popular, and in this edition, there will be more restaurants offering it and a total of 15 establishments serving it as a main dish.
On the other hand, the Chefs’ Route, which features renowned chefs from the region, will allow snackers to enjoy the region’s best signature cuisine in pleasant spaces for a price of €5 (dish + drink).
From sweet to savory, from meat to fish, from starter to dessert, snacking will be the watchword these days. Tiborna Volta ao Algarve, Mushrooms with alheira and quail eggs, Kunafah, Baklava, White Rose Oysters, or Sweet and salty snack are some of the suggestions that participants from the municipality of Loulé have to offer.
The following establishments from the municipality of Loulé participate in this edition: Germano BiciArte Café (Alte), Quinta do Freixo (Benafim), La Gioconda Loulé, Pizzaria Luzzo, KAMIZA Sushi Bar, Flor da Praça, The Old Town – Cocktail and Wine Bar (Loulé ), TerraCotta Restaurant, Cais Wine & Tapas Bar, Rosa Branca Restaurant, Pic-Nic Restaurant and Wine Bar (Quarteira).
The Rota do Petisco 2023 Passport can be purchased at participating establishments and at Palácio Gama Lobo.
It should be noted that the opening session of this 13th Route takes place in Loulé, at Palácio Gama Lobo, this Friday, at 6 pm, with the participation of the municipality’s chefs participating in the event. A musical moment is planned, with Marc Noah.
