1828 promotes a wine dinner
Portuguese and French wines in blind tasting
On October 25, 1828 will host an exclusive wine dinner for 35 people. The keyword will be interaction. Throughout the meal, 10 wines will be served, all in blind tasting. Guests will be asked to guess the wines, and there are prizes for the most accurate guesses.
On October 25, the Selection will play at home against France. Those who think we are talking about football are mistaken. It is a wine dinner where, throughout the meal, 10 wines will be served in blind tasting, half Portuguese and half French.
Guests will be invited to try to guess the nationality of the wines, and there are prizes for those who make the most accurate guesses during the dinner. Therefore, the goal is to encourage interaction and conviviality among all participants.
The starter, a shrimp ceviche, will be accompanied by a sparkling wine and a champagne, which, for obvious reasons, we will not disclose. Accompanying the 30-day aged roast beef, two white wines will be served. To pair with the crispy goat cheese, two light red wines will be tasted. To match the T-bone with truffled mashed potatoes, two full-bodied reds will arrive at the table.
The logic will always be the same; for every two wines served, one will be Portuguese and the other French. The only exception will occur at dessert time because we will close with the house special: Stilton & Chocolate will be properly accompanied by two Vintage Port wines.
Reservations for the Wine Dinner & Blind Tasting are already available online, and the price per person is 75 euros. The wine dinner is supported by Heritage, which distributes all the wines to be tasted during the night.
