Sortelha – Video

In the county of Sabugal, Sortelha is one of the best-preserved Historical Villages of Portugal.
The alleys show the old houses and the towering castle, dating from the thirteenth century, with the Manueline pillory and a Renaissance church. There are ramparts to climb, views that extend to the Serra da Estrela, secular doors, two stones that “kiss” and crafts made from an herb.
One thing is guaranteed: strolling through the beautiful Sortelha is like taking a trip to the past.
