2023 European indoor track and field athletics will take place in Turkey

The president of the European Athletics Association justified the choice by saying that Istanbul has facilities at the level of the best in Europe, which will help athletes achieve their best performances.

This will be the first time that Turkey has hosted a major European track and field competition, after Istanbul in 2002 has already hosted the World Indoor Track and Field Championships.

In 2021, the indoor track Europeans will take place in Torun, Poland, between the 5th and 7th of March.
