23rd edition of Macau Book Carnival kicks off tomorrow
The 23rd edition of the Macau Book Carnival begins this Friday and, like previous years, takes place in the gymnasium of the Polytechnic Institute of Macau (IPM).
Until the 19th of July, the public will not only be able to enjoy cheaper books, but also have access to musical shows and other activities for the whole family.
This Saturday, the 11th, at around 3:30 pm, there will be a launch session for the bilingual book “Na Rua”, launched by children’s book publisher Mandarina. The session will be attended by Catarina Mesquita, founder of Mandarina, and writer Joe Tang.
This year’s edition will be attended by 30 bookstores and publishers, which will present works in Chinese, English and Portuguese. The presentation of the book “Na Rua” came from an invitation from the association.
The Macau Book Carnival takes place every day of the week between 10 and 19 July. During the week, the opening hours are between 11am and 9pm, while on Saturdays and Sundays the fair is open between 11:30 am and 9:30 pm.
