2nd season of Luísa Sobral podcast debuts Thursday with Fausto Bordalo Dias

Luísa Sobral presents the second season of the podcast ‘O Avesso da Canção’ on the 22nd of April. In the first episode, Luísa will be talking to Fausto Bordalo Dias.

As in the first season, we will be able to count on 12 episodes, released weekly on Thursday, in which the author will wear the role of interviewer and will bring us, along with other lyricists and composers who are dear to us, various writing processes of songs.

The first season of the podcast had 12 guests: Carolina Deslandes, Capicua, Miguel Araújo, Pedro da Silva Martins, David Fonseca, João Monge, Diogo Piçarra, Mafalda Veiga, Tim, Márcia, Jorge Palma and Tiago Bettencourt. Artists from different generations, multiple genres and musical backgrounds shared stories related to their careers and ways of writing songs, always in a relaxed and fun tone. At the end of each conversation, Luísa invited the musicians to add a verse to a poem under construction – at the end, there was a poem written with 12 hands that are part of the Portuguese musical imagination. The debut was very well received by the public and critics, with the podcast already surpassing 50 thousand listens, standing out, in February and March 2021, as the most heard music podcast in Portugal on Apple Podcasts.

Avesso da Canção will thus return to all digital platforms from the 22nd of April. The second season continues the search and research of our composers and lyricists, discovering what is behind their songs. A record that may, perhaps, last as an archive for future composers.

The image of O Avesso da Canção remains in the hands of Camila Beirão dos Reis, who had already collaborated with Luísa in the illustrations and design of her last original album, Rosa.
