30 young people changed their lives and started a career in information technologies
After 12 months of basic technical training, behavioral and specialized training and the development of projects in a real context, 30 young people from non-technological areas changed their lives with the NTT DATA & Fidelidade Academy and thus became experts in OutSystems programming and technology.
All Academics are already employed, working either at NTT DATA or at Fidelidade, after an intense and demanding training program, which had the partnership of Técnico+, the postgraduate and professional advanced training school of Instituto Superior Técnico, and OutSystems.
Among the recent graduates, there are young people with basic training in the areas of Law, Tourism, Geology, Civil Engineering, among others, who, with this initiative, have reconverted their careers to an area of full employment and growing demand, the that anticipates a great future for all Academicians.
According to Nuno Castro, Head of Insurance at NTT DATA Portugal, ‘this initiative arose from the need to accelerate the training of technological talent, which is scarce given the needs of organizations, and is the result of a very fruitful joint work of several partners and whose result, the change in the lives of 30 young people, makes us very proud.
We thank Fidelidade, who was a key partner in this project, and also Técnico+ and OutSystems for their academic and technical contribution. It was with everyone’s collaboration that we managed to implement this important initiative, which complements traditional education training.’
In turn, Teresa Rosas, Head of IT at Fidelidade, adds that ‘the great transformation we are making at Fidelidade would not be possible without a process of reskilling and continuous training in the technological areas that are central to building our future. The contribution of these young people, now recently graduated, will be essential for Fidelidade to continue to innovate.’
It should be remembered that Academia NTT DATA e Fidelidade received more than 100 applications and consisted of 18 weeks of theoretical-practical training and 34 weeks of integration in a real work environment.
