42nd International Exhibition of Naïve Painting highlighted at Casino Estoril

The 20 authors present at this exhibition responded positively to the appeal addressed to them, so that this edition, of the oldest Naïve Painting Salon in the World, excels in the presentation of works of quality and naïf authenticity. This pictorial modality is essentially characterized by a lot of detail and a diverse color palette.

“By no means can we agree with those who claim that naive painters are those who cannot paint. On the contrary, they are those who paint as they know how, coming from the most diverse professions and social classes. Quoting Júlio Pomar: “Naif Painting is an Art conceived without sin.””, says Pedro Lima de Carvalho, Director of the Casino Estoril Art Gallery.
