44th edition of Portugal Fashion closes with children’s fashion
Children and children’s fashion will invade today the Customs of Porto, on the last day of the 44th Portugal Fashion, which closes with the debut in Portugal of “Bestiary”, the new collection of the ‘designer’ Alexandra Moura.
The ‘Portugal Kids FW powered by ModaPortugal’ takes place on this last day of the 44th Portugal Fashion and is one of the main novelties of this edition, with two parades dedicated entirely to children’s fashion, which are scheduled for 10:30 am and 11:30 am in Customs of Porto.
In the early afternoon, at 2:00 p.m., the designers Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida, from Felgueiras – the pair Marques’Almeida, who debuted at the last national edition of Portugal Fashion in October 2018, after having been present in September in week fashion week in Paris – they return to Porto to present a heavily street-worn collection of bargains, long dresses, skirts and sweatshirts with silhouettes, shapes, overlays and unusual patterns, while still reflecting British and British punk references. an interpretation of Portugal.
The Portuguese designer Alexandra Moura, who presents “Bestiário”, the new collection for the next fall/winter 2019-20, is inspired by the work of Portuguese ceramist Rosa Ramalho.
Alexandra Moura recently participated for the first time in women’s fashion week in Milan (Italy), and shared the stage with brands such as Gucci, Prada and Armani.
In the collection, you will find details inspired by the fantastic creatures created by the ceramist Rosa Ramalho and materials such as tulle, cotton flannel, wool, bombazine, metallic sweater and Ganga.
The 44th edition of Portugal Fashion ends with the designers’ parades and two ex-bloomers, Carla Pontes and David Catalán.
Carla Pontes will present the collection “Remember where you come from“, a work that fits into the ‘slow fashion’, a movement that values local traditions and defends the sustainability of the fashion industry.
Closing the more than 30 fashion shows of more than 50 creators of brands that have passed through this Portugal Fashion is David Catalán, who presents the collection “Still alive” at 17:00, where they will combine classic pieces with more sporty clothing and where the tones more striking will be the beige, brick, black and brown colour.
