7 lyrical singers take the stage for the final of the Lyrical Singing Contest

Today, April 30, at 4pm, 7 young lyrical singers rise to the stage of the small auditorium of the Cultural Center of Belém (CCB) to compete for the final proof of the 11th edition of the Lyric Singing Contest of the Portuguese Rotary Foundation.

The winners will be awarded with scholarships, offered by the Portuguese Rotary Foundation and other entities associated with the contest, to promote their artistic improvement.

The Sopranos Rita Marques, Beatriz de Sousa, Sílvia Sequeira and Ana Vieira Leite, the Baitos James Amado Gomes and Luís Rentes Pereira and the Middle Soprano Beatriz Miranda are the candidates cleared for the final proof of the lyrical corner contest. Each finalist will present two camera songs, one Portuguese language, Portuguese composer and another in a foreign language, foreign composer, and an opera aria.

Already the values ​​of the scholarships range from €500 and €5,000, being attributed to the top three classifieds, the best interpretations of Portuguese song, foreign song and opera aria, the best pianist accompanying and the singer or singer elected Public present in the room.

The entry into the test is free, by lifting a ticket on the day, in the CCB ticket office, and will have direct broadcast through their youtube channel.

The Portuguese Rotary Foundation’s lyrical contest has been asserting itself as a relief initiative in the dissemination of the lyrical singing at national level since 2007. It has already a wide range of singers who today score on national and international stages between the What are the Sopranos Susana Gaspar and Sónia Grané, the Middle Soprano Cátia Morese or the Baritons André Baleiro and Hugo Oliveira.
