Greater willingness to return to the workplace, confidence in vaccines, and greater optimism about new job opportunities at the end of the year, these are some of the main conclusions of Randstad’s first Workmonitor 2021.

The latest results contrast with what was felt in 2020 when there was a clear preference for working remotely. Currently, 77% of workers who are working remotely in Portugal want to return to the workplace. A trend that continues if we look at the overall results (78%) or Europe (77%).

59% of Portuguese think they will have more job opportunities after being vaccinated. A value that drops in the European average to 49% and globally is at 56%. The countries with the least confidence in this relationship between vaccine and work are France (34%), Luxembourg (34%) and Switzerland (35%) and in the opposite direction India (86%), China (80%) and Brazil (77%).
