FC Porto loses in Turin but guarantees qualification (3-2)

FC Porto is in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Portuguese team, who played reduced to 10 players since the second half (expulsion from Taremi, in the 54th minute), were defeated by 2-3, but secured the qualification due to the greater number of goals scored away (they had won in the first leg 2-1).

Sérgio Conceição’s team started well in Turin and opened the scoring in a penalty converted by Sérgio Oliveira, in the 19th minute.

Juventus responded in the second half. Ronaldo went blank, but watched Chiesa for the tie. The Italian winger would also score 2-1. The game ended up going to extra time, where Sérgio Oliveira’s new goal, in the free kick, turned out to be decisive.

Rabiot still scored again for Juventus, but he no longer prevented FC Porto from achieving a presence among the eight best teams in Europe, something he manages for the 11th time.
