Joy and an unstoppable desire to dance, was the description of Nha Rikeza’s performance yesterday at B.Leza, a fantastic night where Funaná was King.
Fogo Fogo returned to B.Leza to present their second album, Nha Rikeza, and with a full room welcoming them, who from the first minute let themselves be carried away by the band’s frenetic rhythm, which doesn’t let anyone stand still, the desire to dance, to jump, to sing is unstoppable.
Fogo Fogo is Francisco Rebelo on bass, João Gomes on keyboards, Edu Mundo on drums, Danilo Lopes and David Pessoa on vocals and guitars, and they have fantastic energy and joy, and at the concert at B.Leza, they once again conveyed this energy to everyone present.
The band presented their new work but of course, they also covered Fladu Fla’s songs, and after Lisbon, the band will be in Porto on April 12th at Casa da Música, for another frenetic night.
Themes such as “Nhô Buli”, which features the collaboration of Ferro Gaita and percussion Iúri Oliveira, was one of the highlighted themes, and which, after a short introduction, opened the concert, but “Cão Dançado”, “Kananga”, “ Nha Riqueza”, “Uma Casa pa Morá” and many other songs, passed through the stage on a journey through the heat of Africa and in particular through the wonderful islands, which give so much music to the world.
In “Amor é Amor”, David Pessoa asked everyone present to greet each other, hug each other, for everyone to celebrate love, which he says is what is most lacking, he also recalled that culture was forgotten in this electoral campaign, which is the public that supports culture, and celebrates the arts with artists, thanking everyone who left home on a Thursday to be with them.
Another great night with Fogo Fogo at B.Leza, this great venue that celebrates music and artists.
