The Illustration Festival continues in Setúbal

The third weekend of the Setúbal Illustration Festival revealed new exhibitions, cinema, and a fair that unveiled a little behind the scenes of illustration and the event organized by the City Council of Setúbal, which runs until December.

On the 15th, at the Azeitão Library, the exhibition “Páginas de um Livro” by Marta Madureira opened, which runs until December 30th.

On the 16th, the A Gráfica – Artistic Creation Center inaugurated the exhibitions “Ilustração Portuguesa”, which includes, among others, works by André Carrilho and Nicolau, “Ver ao Perto” and “Ilustração de Espetáculo – FOmE at MAPS ”, visitable until November 14th.

In this edition, the Setúbal Illustration Festival pays homage to the illustrator Vasco, who died in July this year, with the exhibition “Preto no Branco”, which opened on October 16 at the Michel Giacometti Work Museum, where it remains on display until November 28.

On the same day, at Galeria Municipal at 11, an exhibition of works by veteran illustrator João Carlos Celestino Gomes was announced, open until November 27

Another highlight of the cultural weekend in Setúbal was the Festa da Festa, which took place on the 16th and 17th at the A Gráfica space, with the participation of professionals from the field of design, and which revealed a little about the backstage of illustration and about sadine feast.

On the 16th, the dance performance “Tour de Force”, by Wagner and Tiago, and, on Sunday, the screening of animated films as part of the Indie Lisboa festival, gave more animation to the Feira da Festa.

Until the end of December, there are many exhibitions that can be visited in various cultural facilities in the municipality of Setúbal.
