The Festa do Leitão returns to Águeda and Excesso is the latest news

August 31st, September 1st, 2nd and 3rd!

Organized by the Municipality of Águeda and the Commercial Association of Águeda, with production by the Chiado Group, this party is committed to a musical culture based on Lusophony, with a diversified program, appealing to young and adult audiences, using new artists with already signed credits like this like some with more than 20 years of career.

A few weeks ago, we presented Entre Aspas as part of the poster. Today, it’s the turn of the returning Excesso, the first Portuguese boy band with hits like “Eu Sou Quem”, “És Loucura”, “Até ao Fim” or “Não Sei Viver Sem Ti”. Formed in 1997 by Gonzo, Carlos, Melão, Duck, and João Portugal, Excesso was a sales and popularity phenomenon in the 90s in Portugal, traveling thousands of kilometers, performing on hundreds of stages, and selling thousands of records. All this with only two albums (“Eu Sou Quem” from 1997 and Until the End from 1999 and a handful of singles. Entre Aspas and Excesso perform on September 3rd.

Highlights, on the 31st of August for Lon3r Johny & Plutonio who come to present the EP “Anti$$ocial” and Dillaz, one of the most respected artists in the context of Portuguese Hip-Hop, with a very well-defined identity. On the 1st of September, in addition, the band from Lisbon D.A.M.A takes the stage to, among others, perform their most recent singles “Loucamente” and “Casa” (which has been in the TOP 50 of Spotify Portugal since its launch), Poesia Acústica, an artistic movement that recalls the rhyming battles of the 1990s and that presents a new way of consuming mass culture, adding more than 2.7 billion views on Youtube, and more than 960 million ‘streams’ on Spotify. With one of the songs with the most national airplay –“Chamada Não Atendida”-, Bárbara Tinoco will be present at this Party, on September 2nd, on the same night that Leo2745 and the DJs Rich & Mendes will also be here. On the following day, the attention is turned to the rapper Piruka and the Algarvian Entre Aspas who bring some of the most consecrated themes such as “Uma flor” and “Criatura da Noite”.
