The installation Contrafogos by the Filho Único at the São Luiz Theater
The installation Contrafogos, by Filho Único, will be presented on April 21st, at the São Luiz Theatre, in the Mário Viegas room, with sound pieces by Joana da Conceição, Nídia, Sei Miguel and Sonic Boom, exploring the theme of Transfiguration through immersive three-dimensional sound Ambisonics, lighting by Gabriela Clavería and Ana Luísa Novais.
Many artists imagine that whatever their past selves created or interpreted, their present selves could do better, and would be willing to make corrections and improvements to their work that they would never tolerate from any editor or producer. How to distract them? Inviting them to new challenges. Contrafogos is a program for creating and presenting music for public experience, in the form of installations, developed with the three-dimensional immersive sound technology known as Ambisonics. The proposed theme is that of Transfiguration, and the pieces were commissioned from Joana da Conceição, Nídia, Sei Miguel and Sonic Boom. The lighting design is the responsibility of Materia Leve: creation by Gabriela Clavería and Ana Luísa Novais, with supervision and mentoring by Leticia Skrycky. The purpose is to enchant, promote sensitivity, neuronal, physical, sensualist, mobilise the public for the aesthetic proposal and artistic intervention in Sala Mário Viegas.
