Since she was a little girl, Yuri (Helena Zengel) has lived protected in an isolated village on the island of Carpathia, with her eccentric and militant father (Willem Dafoe), who teaches her to fear and hunt the mythical species known as Ochi. But when he finds one of these beings, fragile and wounded, Yuri discovers an inexplicable affinity, and, rebelling against his father’s rules, runs away from home and embarks on a transformative journey to reunite the creature with its family.

Synopsis:
In a remote village on the island of Carpathia, shy Yuri (Helena Zengel) is raised to fear a rare species known as the Ochi. But when he discovers that a wounded little Ochi has been left behind, Yuri embarks on the adventure of a lifetime to bring him back home.
