As one of the high moments of the national brewer market, the organization of the Contest always prepares an event open to the community and the general public, where there is no shortage of craft beer, of course, with various activities related to the theme, and this year is no exception:
Morning Program
11h00 – Presentation of the book “The Shape of Brewing” by Jorge Thomas, founder and brewer at Fermentage
11h30 – Lecture on the Portuguese Cherry Market. Moderation: Bruno Aquino (organization). Guests linked to national craft beer

The lectures and events will be interviewed with an El Chaparral DJ set.
In the 12th National Contest of Casing and Handcraft Beers, 0 major highlights, and for the first time, is not a specific style of the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP), but rather a concept: smoked beers, challenging participants to explore intense and authentic aromas of the Smoked Beers. Another of the novelties is the award of the award Tributo Espírito Cervejeiro – CNCCA, a distinction that aims to recognize annually those who, with passion, dedication and vision, contribute to the dissemination, growth and strengthening of the brewing culture in Portugal. This tribute celebrates the commitment to the authenticity, sharing and evolution of the market craft, honouring those who leave their mark in this movement.
“Murder in Porto”, Two Crows
The “Murder in Porto”, an Imperial Stout aged in Port wine barrels, the Two Corvos Lisbon, was considered the Best Portuguese Craft Beer of 2023 (in the photo). What’s 2024?
