The Christmas programming of WOW

begins on November 23rd

The cultural quarter of Gaia is back recreating the magic of Christmas. It all begins with the lighting of the Christmas tree, which takes place on November 23rd at 6:30 PM. Besides the large tree and the carousel, WOW offers programming that extends until January 6th.

WOW, the cultural quarter of Gaia, is already counting down to the Christmas season. The programming starts on November 23rd, the day when the 13-meter Christmas tree lights up at 6:30 PM, in an event filled with entertainment, including children’s and youth dance and choir performances, along with the usual hot chocolate and mulled wine.

Also on Saturday, November 23rd, WOW proposes a themed dinner at the VP restaurant, designed for families attending the show, so they can extend the evening in the cultural quarter. The menu promises flaked cod, turkey, king cake, French toast, noodle pudding, and more typical delicacies of the Christmas season. For those coming with friends and having different preferences, WOW offers a wine dinner paired with the iconic Port wines Fonseca, Taylor’s, and Croft, taking place at the 1828 restaurant, with a privileged view of the Christmas tree.

With the cultural quarter illuminated, the Christmas programming continues. In the central square, the tree and carousel promise to warm the atmosphere even on the coldest days. On weekends and during the school holidays, starting in mid-December, there will also be a Gastronomic Market in the central square, adding comfort to the soul and warming the stomach.

Lemon Plaza, the indoor square of WOW, will be reserved on weekends for a series of performances from dance schools and children’s choirs, which are the ideal purpose for bringing families and friends together. Right next door, at the Street Market, there will be a Christmas Market, featuring some national brands and local producers, enhancing the offering of the already familiar stores at WOW. “The goal is to create the perfect opportunity to buy original gifts, that stand out from the ordinary and can be acquired without traffic jams and chaos,” explains Marta Bravo, retail director at the cultural quarter.

Meanwhile, at Lodge 6, next to the Pink Palace, there will be Santa’s House, where he will be present starting on December 7th. “This year’s WOW programming has two novelties. Those who visit us are already accustomed to the magic of the light connection, which will take place on November 23rd, but we have created two more key moments in the programming of ‘WOW, it’s Christmas’: the arrival of Santa on December 7th and the New Year’s Concert on January 4th,” shares Ricardo Almeida, marketing director of WOW.

The daily programming and restaurant reservations at WOW are centralized here.
