A Resistência Announces “New Year’s Concert” for 2027
after Selling Out the Coliseums in Porto and Lisbon in 2026
Following a live performance at the Coliseu Porto Ageas last Saturday, January 10th, in the first of two completely sold-out shows, A Resistência has already announced the dates for their “New Year’s Show” in 2027.
- January 23, 2027 – Coliseu Porto Ageas
- January 30, 2027 – Coliseu dos Recreios (Lisbon)
Maintaining the tradition that has been consolidated over the last decade, A Resistência’s New Year’s concerts continue to establish themselves as symbolic moments in the Portuguese musical calendar. This year’s Lisbon show, scheduled for February 6, 2026, is also sold out, confirming the strength of this ritual that unites generations around Portuguese song.

At last Saturday’s concert at the Coliseu do Porto, A Resistência debuted new songs on stage. These were songs never before part of their repertoire, pointing towards a year of renewal and creation. The possibility of new recorded releases is beginning to take shape in the near future.
With 35 years of career to be celebrated in 2026, A Resistência remains one of the most remarkable groups in Brazilian music. Their songbook, built from reinvented versions of songs by bands such as Xutos & Pontapés, Delfins, Heróis do Mar, Sitiados, and GNR, has taken on a life of its own and remains deeply rooted in the collective memory.

More than a band, A Resistência is a symbol of freedom, communion, and sharing. The “New Year’s Show” performances reflect exactly this spirit: an encounter between stage and audience, between past and present, that continues to move those who experience it.
Tickets for the 2027 shows are already available at the usual outlets.
