The very recent winner of three awards from the Spanish Academy of Music (best original soundtrack song, best female singer-songwriter song and best electronic music song) returns to Portugal this September for three concerts: Lisbon, Setúbal, and Porto were the chosen cities.
We would like to remind you that Valeria Castro was only in Portugal on September 24, 2023, for a one-off concert at the Teatro Municipal de Matosinhos.
Since then, Valeria Castro, the Spanish artist who has travelled almost all over the world singing her own songs for the last four years, has released the album el cuerpo después de todo, which features a song that “must be” sung by one of her greatest influences, the Catalan singer Silvia Perez Cruz.
Valeria Castro released her first EP, Chiquita, in 2021, which produced hit songs such as “ay, amor”, “la coriente” and “guerrera”. Two years later, her debut album con cariño y con cuidado (with love and care) contains some of the songs that have become a must-have on many radio playlists around the world and Spotify lists, such as “la raíz” (nominated for the “Best Song by a Songwriter” award at the 2024 Latin Grammys), “abril y mayo” and “costumbre”.
In the shows she will be giving in September in our country, Valeria Castro will perform in a more acoustic and intimate format. In Lisbon, Valeria Castro’s show is a production partnership between Pinuts and Cloud Man Tree. This concert will take place at St George’s Church, a beautiful, intimate church located right next to Jardim da Estrela.
