The third edition of Building the Future happens this month

The biggest event in the Portuguese business ecosystem dedicated to digital transformation takes place on the 26th, 27th and 28th of January.

An initiative led by Microsoft and developed by iMatch, Building the Future will bring together more than 40 partners, in 100 hours of broadcast and more than 200 speakers to an audience of around 20,000 online viewers.

It will be global, digital and the most interactive ever, with all the content available on demand and the possibility of interaction with the audience, speakers and partners, on a MatchMaking platform. We marked 2021 as a space for reflection, in which Building The Future will be economy, education and impact.

Julia White, Microsoft Corporate VP, Aubrey de Gray, Chief Science Officer of Sens Research Foundation, Pascal Finette, Singularity’s Chair for Entrepreneurship & Open Innovation, Gonçalo Muñoz Abogabir, Co-Founder of Triciclos, Anthony Salcito, VP of Microsoft Worldwide Education and Limor Magaznik, Managing Director of the Israel Tech Policy Institute will be some of the names present in the 2021 edition.

From the democratization of Artificial Intelligence, to regenerative medicine and aging processes in society, to the role that date plays in the reinventing of businesses, to the need to create sustainable business models, are some of the themes of Building the Future that will define and re-imagine our future.

With sessions like Age is just a Number, which will bring together Portuguese young people under 30 years old with innovative technological projects; NOS Startup World, a program dedicated to national entrepreneurship that will bring together about 50 startups; the Altice Smart Cities program, which will address the impact of innovation on smart cities, as well as the WellBeing Sessions, which will help participants balance digital exposure between conferences.

The third day of the event – Edu Day – will be entirely dedicated to Education and Technology and will highlight initiatives such as the Job Pitch Challenge, the biggest talent hunt in Portugal, which allows students and recent graduates direct access to CEOs and Top Managers of the largest companies in Portugal.
