The FESTin organization informs that registrations for the 12th edition of the Lusophone cinema festival, held annually in Lisbon, at Cinema São Jorge, are open until March 31.
The organizing committee of FESTin says that since last year, the event has been held in an online format, through the FESTin ON streaming platform and that the festival has become a reference in the sector, as it is the only permanent event in Portugal, dedicated exclusively to the cinematographic culture of Portuguese-speaking countries.
The program consists of productions from the nine countries that make up the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP): Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Timor-Leste.
In this edition, the festival has four competitive shows and a diverse program of parallel shows, such as the traditional Brazilian Cinema Show, Festinha Show (dedicated to childhood), FESTin+ Show, among others.
The regulation for applications for cinematographic productions in the formats of fiction/animation feature films, documentary features, short films and children’s films can be found at http://festin-festival.com/regulamento2021.
The Portuguese Language Itinerant Film Festival is an international event that seeks to foster diffusion, interculturality, social inclusion and cultural exchange, through an event committed to the dissemination of different cultures and practices respecting the diversity present in the matrix of the Portuguese language.
