The exhibition “Imported Ceramics in Tavira. 14th and 16th centuries” opened in Tavira

The exhibition “Imported Ceramics in Tavira is open to the public. 14th and 16th Centuries”, in the exhibition space of Bairro Almohad in Convento da Graça – Pousada de Tavira, where it will be exhibited for the next three years.

With this exhibition, the intention is to make known the commercial relations of Tavira, between the 14th and 16th centuries. During this period, a significant set of imported ceramics arrived in our city that archaeological excavations have uncovered, namely pieces from Seville and other important production centers such as Valencia and the Kingdom of Granada.

Also the exhibition “From Triana to Tavira. Seville ceramics from the 14th to 16th centuries”, shown in the Islamic Nucleus, reflects the commercial connections between Tavira and this city in Andalusia.
