“Aceitar” was the 3rd song of the Festival da Canção with the most streams on Spotify

The duo NO MAKA was one of the finalists of the Festival da Canção with the theme Accept, after being one of the songs most voted by the public in its semi-final, being the second to be selected.

Aceitar” features the performance of young singer Ana Maria, who debuted in this way in the world of professional music and, even more so, on TV and in one of the most important national music competitions.

The theme “Aceitar” is the third most listened to in streaming on the Spotify platform (more than 100 thousand) of all the themes presented at the Festival da Canção.

We asked the producers what they felt when they received contact from the Festival da Canção production team with the invitation, Duarte Carvalho tells us “Total euphoria! We still have to pinch ourselves. Anyone who knows us knows that we already had this desire to participate. As composers As we are, with a lot of work already done, we have always admired everything that the Festival represents, all its grandeur, and diversity, as well as we have watched many of our friends and colleagues who have participated over the years. This year it is us!”

We also found out how the theme “Aceita” came about “This theme was one of the first we did with Maria. It came up in a session we did in which we started with just two ideas: the introduction would have to be striking and emotional and the theme deep. We focused first on the introduction, hence all the work and arrangement of voices, from then on everything flowed very naturally. It is a theme that is dear to us and after we had done it, we knew it would be reserved for something very special, At the time, we still didn’t know it would be the Song Festival”.
