Visit Azores will be present at the 2025 edition of BTL – Better Tourism Lisbon, reaffirming its status as one of the best tourist destinations in the world.
Internationally recognized as a sustainable nature and adventure destination, the Azores prioritize quality over quantity, offering authentic and memorable experiences.
After a record year for the sector, the Azores are presenting a series of initiatives that highlight the destination as a place to visit all year round, reinforcing its commitment to responsible and high-standard tourism.
The Visit Azores stand will be located in Pavilion 1 of FIL, occupying an area of 891 m², as in the previous edition. With a bold design inspired by the archipelago’s natural and cultural heritage, Stand 1A01 will bring together representatives from the 19 Azorean municipalities, providing a networking platform with Visit Azores members and featuring an auditorium for presentations of projects and initiatives.
During the five days of the fair, from March 12 to 16, 2025, the space dedicated to the archipelago will offer a varied program, which includes cultural entertainment, gastronomic tastings and product presentations. These activities reinforce the Azores‘ commitment to promoting sustainable, high-quality tourism, contributing to the international recognition of the destination.
Luís Capdeville Botelho, President of Visit Azores, highlights the importance of this participation: “We are confident in the strength of our presence at BTL 2025, with a diverse program that reflects the proactivity of Visit Azores and the union of the various actors from the public and private sectors. We promote tourism that prioritizes quality, consolidating the Azores as a sustainable nature and adventure destination, recognized worldwide for its excellence.”
The presence of the Azores at BTL 2025 demonstrates not only the destination’s continued success but also Visit Azores’ commitment to promoting innovative, sustainable and high-quality tourism based on the archipelago’s rich natural and cultural heritage.
