ACP publishes book about 25 years of the 24 Hours TT of Fronteira
A 25-year-old adventure recorded in a book, around one of the most important all-terrain endurance races in Europe. The Automóvel Club de Portugal race told in “Era uma vez em Fronteira”: the history and stories of a popular and sporting phenomenon.
The town of Fronteira has been the stage, since 1998, for an off-road race that, every year, transforms that town in Alto Alentejo. Inhabited by around 2,000 people, the population of Fronteira increases exponentially during the four days of the 24 Hours TT, an endurance race organized by the ACP, which attracts both established and amateur riders from different parts of Europe. International motorsport stars such as Stéphane Peterhansel or Miki Biasion have already participated in the 24 Hours TT, as well as great Portuguese champions from different disciplines.
Over the course of 25 years, the Fronteira Terródromo, a 16.4 kilometer long circuit, was the site of countless memorable stories and episodes, proofs of overcoming and ingenuity, now compiled in the book “Era uma vez em Fronteira”, written by journalists Alexandre Correia and Rui Cardoso, edited by ACP.
The book “Era uma vez em Fronteira” is available for pre-sale, with a 10% discount, until November 29th, precisely the day before the start of the 25th edition of the 24 Hours TT Vila de Fronteira.
