Masterclasses of top and specialties of the Gaveto to taste.
The Adegga Winemarket returns to Porto on May 11 and this year’s edition brings together 120 wines, among the 400 in the competition, with scores equal to or greater than 90 points in the various national and international reference publications.
A smart glass, Vintages, and Champagne. What else?
Betting this year on a geographic change to a space closer to Porto, the Customs of Porto is the place chosen for the event that invests in quality in a relaxed atmosphere, between 14 and 21 hours. SmartWineGlass – the ‘smart’ glass that records all the tests – is again a passport for a trip to the best Portuguese wines. Conceived by Adegga in 2012, SmartWineGlass technology is a worldwide innovation in the area and guarantees the receipt, in the e-mail of each visitor, of the complete list of wines tasted during the event and allows direct access to the online store.
But there is more: in the year that the main Port Wine Houses declare their Vintage, Bento Amaral conducts an exclusive masterclass with a selection of Vintage 2017. The head of the IVDP Chamber of Takers addresses the consecutive declarations of an exceptional wine category and unveils the main characteristics of each wine in evidence.
Also at the invitation of Adegga, Alejandro Chávarro takes on the masterclass on the wines of Champagne and the approach of the organic and biodynamic viticulture of the Region. The sommelier, who recently arrived in Portugal to launch the Vinhos Livres project, has already visited some of the best restaurants in the world such as Mugaritz, Lucas Carton, Quique Dacosta, Hotel du Cap Eden Roc and the famous Astrance which currently has 3 Michelin stars.
