currently has 21 stores

Adolfo Dominguez continues to make progress in its international expansion. The brand is intensifying its deployment in Portugal, where it has increased its sales network by 54% over the last four years to 21 stores.

The fashion group’s sales grew 25% in Portugal between March and August 2024, compared to the same period last year (latest published data).

In the last 8 months, the brand opened two new stores in the country, in Aveiro and Matosinhos. After its arrival on the market in 1994, the company extended its presence from Lisbon (8 stores) to Porto, Aveiro, Cascais and Faro. Adolfo Domínguez is also present in all El Corte Inglés stores in the region.

The Portuguese country has become the second largest international market of the company, just behind Mexico, its main foreign subsidiary, where the brand has 134 points of sale. Internationalization is one of the fundamental pillars of Adolfo Domínguez’s growth. Sixty per cent of its stores are located outside of Spain.

“Portugal is a very special market for us, with which we have a special connection since our arrival 20 years ago. Currently, we have fifty professionals in the country and we continue to meet new customers every day”, explains Anabel Rúa, corporate director of Retail at the Adolfo Domínguez group.

New image of the shop

Since 2021, the company has renewed the image of 80% of its stores in Portugal. Its new concept is characterized by its bet on open spaces, natural materials and its commitment to craftsmanship.

Europe leads the growth of the fashion brand, with an average increase in sales of 13.9% and 25% in Portugal. After almost fifty years of presence in the European market and with 177 points of sale in 7 countries, the company continues to expand its international presence.

Adolfo Dominguez currently has 362 points of sale in 26 countries.
