Adriana Partimpim debuts “O Quarto no Palco” in Portugal
Adriana Partimpim is back with a new show O Quarto no Palco in world premiere on 28 June at the Coliseu Porto AGEAS and 29 June at the Coliseu dos Recreios, Lisbon. Tickets are on sale at the usual places.
Adriana Partimpim, the character created by Adriana Calcanhotto – mainly but not only for children – is back on the records and stages.
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the debut album of the same name, Adriana Partimpim will present a new show, O Quarto no Palco, which combines the themes of her recently edited album “O QUARTO” with the hits of her repertoire.
“Partimpim lives in the present”. This is how Adriana Calcanhotto refers to the way her heteronym experiences the passage of time. Partimpim is not 20 years older than when she released her first album in 2004. Unlike those who grew up with those songs – many of them today parents and mothers of new listeners – she remains a child. But this does not mean that Partimpim has been standing still in time. The world around her changes and she reacts to the transformations and acts on them.
“O Quarto” – which brings together themes by her own, Marisa Monte, Rita Lee and Vitor Ramil – affirms the connection of Adriana Partimpim with 2024, the present she lives today, in an idea that crosses the disc and that she points out: “Partimpim gives a clear message on the opening theme of the album: and we will invent the world!”.
The show O Quarto no Palco refers to the universe of dreams and fantasy where everything is invented, reinvented, learned and entertained. An invitation to play “invent the world” which claims to be reinvented.
