Filipe Melo is currently finishing O Lobo Solitário – the second short film that he signs as director is starring Adriano Luz and features António Fonseca and Maria João Pinho, among others, in the cast.
Filmed at the end of last January on the outskirts of Lisbon, O Lobo Solitário has an argument and direction by Filipe Melo, art direction by Juan Cavia, photography direction by Vasco Viana, edition by Gabriela Soares and sound by Bruno Garcez and Dillon Bennett. The original music was also in charge of Filipe Melo in partnership with The Legendary Tigerman.
The film, produced by the Production Force and supported by ICA – Instituto do Cinema e do Audiovisual, is currently in the final post-production phase. The premiere is scheduled until the end of the year, still with no date and place to be announced.
The Lone Wolf is the successor to Sleepwalk, the director’s last film work. Rounded in the USA in Autumn 2017 and premiered at the 2018 edition of IndieLisboa, International Film Festival, Sleepwalk was the winner of the 2019 edition of the Sophia Awards of the Portuguese Film Academy (in the category of best short film), among many others national and international awards and distinctions.
