Employees of the Água Hotels Group joined forces to support local communities on the island of São Vicente, Cape Verde, affected by heavy rains last month.
The result of this charitable action is the shipment of a container containing approximately 3,000 kilograms of essential items, including school supplies, clothing, toys, dishes, kitchen utensils, furniture, towels, and sheets.
The container will depart from Portugal on September 28th, bound for the Cape Verdean Institute for Children and Adolescents (ICCA) and the Cape Verde Red Cross – Local Council of São Vicente, thus ensuring that support reaches the families and children most in need.
This initiative was made possible thanks to the dedication and volunteer spirit of all Água Hotels Group employees, who actively participated in the donation, collection, organisation, and preparation of the items. A true team effort that demonstrates how solidarity is built, day by day, through concrete actions.
The Água Hotels Group operates in Cape Verde through its Água Hotels Sal Vila Verde unit and therefore has strong ties to the local community. The shipment of this container reinforces the Group’s commitment not only to tourism and hospitality, but also to social responsibility and proximity to the communities where it operates.
