Emerging alt-folk artist Ailbhe Reddy releases a new single “Walk Away” from the debut album Personal History, released on October 2 by Street Mission Records. The new single is released in Two Track Single format, along with “Personal History (Live at Windmill Lane)” and hits digital platforms on November 6th.

Ailbhe Reddy‘s debut album is an intimate and introspective collection of songs that ruminate on the rites of passage of a young, emerging and queer artist from Dublin.
In Personal History, Ailbhe’s ability to write songs of sincere and honest self-evaluation sees her autobiographically navigate the end of relationships in the age of social media, reflect on the duality between loneliness and independence during their tour, and to reveal their sexual orientation.
Be the most pernicious pop of the album’s opening song, “Failing”, in the style of Julia Jacklin, the influences of the sixties girl bands in “Time Difference”, the intimate and whispering acoustics of “Walk Away”, the delicate folk “Loyal“, or the striking Big-Thief-style title of the ballad “Personal History”, a result of various influences and real stories.
Although masterfully embellished by a world-class music studio, Personal History’s songs remain as musically expressive as the lyrics are emotional, never losing sight of their origins.
