Airbus wants zero emission planes

Environmental issues and the concern to reduce the levels of carbon dioxide on the planet are gaining more and more importance.

In this regard, Airbus announced that it is studying the development of three prototypes in order to build the first commercial aircraft with zero carbon dioxide emissions. The goal is to reach the skies in 2035.

Each of these prototypes represents a different approach towards a common goal: achieving an aircraft with zero CO2 emissions.

Thus, they all use hydrogen as a primary energy source, an option that the European construction company believes is the ideal solution not only for the aerospace industry but also for other industries to achieve neutral climate targets.

To fulfill the decarbonization of the aviation sector, the official warns that the commitment of the entire aviation ecosystem is necessary, including government funding, as well as support from industrial partners.
