Rock in Rio Lisboa 2024, June 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd, 2024

  • Known as the Spanish Pop Princess, today’s most internationally acclaimed Spanish new artist debuts in Portugal on June 23, with the opening concert of Palco Mundo;
  • AITANA has already collaborated with artists such as zzoilo on “Mon Amour”, one of the hits that most circulated on the TikTok platform last summer, and with Nicki Nicole, Danna Paola and Rels B on her most recent album, “alpha”;
  • Rock in Rio Lisboa 2024 will take place on the 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd of June 2024 and will feature 12 hours of daily and memorable parties, in a new City of Rock and in a new location – Parque Tejo Lisboa.

AITANA will perform the opening concert of Palco Mundo on the last day of Rock in Rio Lisboa, in a performance that will bring to Portugal a world of new sounds and experiences.

The Spanish new artist, born in Barcelona, and today’s most internationally acclaimed artist, joins Doja Cat, Camila Cabello, Ne-Yo, Luísa Sonza and Pedro Sampaio on June 23rd to celebrate the festival’s 20th anniversary.

AITANA became a musical and social phenomenon after it participated in the acclaimed talent competition “Operación Triunfo”, in the first edition of the new stage of the program, in 2017. Integrating a unique sound in which pop, contemporary electronics and bedroom pop mix as a vindication of the genre itself, the artist has already won over a new generation of audiences who yearn for something completely new.

Proof of this is the fact that songs like “Lo Malo” and “Arde” have already accumulated millions of views on YouTube and reached the top of the digital charts, projecting her to successful international visibility, and leading her to collaborate with artists as a zzoilo in “Mon Amour”, one of the hits that most circulated on the TikTok platform last summer, and with Nicki Nicole, Danna Paola and Rels B on his most recent album, “alpha”, released in 2023.

With a very strong connection with the millennial generation, in addition to being an ambassador for very important brands globally, AITANA is the Spanish artist with the largest number of followers and engagement on social media. To date, his path of achievements and recognition, as well as the numbers and successes achieved, are unbeatable, continuing to work to grow to the level of global Pop Icon, and achieving new goals with his platinum recording projects and his acclaimed “alphaTour”, which will now go directly from the playlist to the Palco Mundo do Rock in Rio Lisboa, in a performance that is already expected to be surprising.

Roberta Medina, Executive Vice-President of Rock in Rio, states: “On the 23rd, it’s the young people’s turn to leave their parents at home (lol)! AITANA perfectly completes the proposal and energy that we dream of having in the city of rock on this day – joy, young power, singing and dancing from start to finish! This will be the last day of the special edition of the festival’s 20th anniversary and the first of the next 20 years!”

The 10th edition of Rock in Rio Lisboa will take place on the 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd of June 2024, in the new Cidade do Rock, in Parque Tejo Lisboa, where fans will be transported to a unique and memorable experience full of animation, music and quality entertainment.
