Alte Inaugurates Nativity Scene Route
Next Saturday, the 13th, at 2 PM, the inauguration of the XIII Alte Nativity Scene Route will take place, with the meeting point at Largo José Cavaco Vieira.
Until January 6th, the magic of Christmas will invade what was once “the most Portuguese village in Portugal”. This route proposes a journey full of charm, tradition, and creativity. Throughout the village and parish of Alte (localities of Monte da Charneca, Montinho, Santa Margarida, Monte Ruivo, and Sarnadas), visitors will find nativity scenes created with great care by people of all ages.
Models range from the most traditional Algarve styles to modern and surprising interpretations, all made with the dedication and talent of the people of Alte. Each nativity scene tells a story and celebrates the best of our Christmas traditions.
This itinerary comes to life thanks to the collaboration between the Loulé City Council, the Alte Parish Council, the Alte Parish, local institutions and, of course, the entire community that makes this time of year even more special.
