Amélia Muge, opening of the exhibition “Ver e Ouvir Amélias” and reissue of the CD “Amélias”

Tomorrow, at FNAC in Chiado, Lisbon, Amélia Muge opens the VER and LISTEN AMÉLIAS exhibition, which presents the artist’s illustrations for her latest work and also launches the second edition of this AMÉLIAS, published in 2022 and which was highly praised by the critics National and international.

At this event, there will be a conversation with journalist Nuno Pacheco and a short musical moment with the three instrumentalist singers who have accompanied Amélia Muge on stage.

As usual, Amélia Muge’s CDs never offer us just music. Facing the CD object as a graphic piece with an aesthetic value in itself, providing additional information that goes far beyond the usual CD models on the market, is a characteristic and a concern that has always found, in a new work, a way of developing, in search of new solutions.

Her illustrations occupied an increasingly relevant space in communication, originating, on her last CD AMÉLIAS, a collection of postcards that are also the graphic support of the words of each theme. The lines, colors, thematic motifs coexist and interact with the plurality of voices sung by the artist. It is with part of this base material and with the graphic and editorial options of the designers Cristiana Serejo and Olinda Martins for the creation of the CD that this Exhibition is made, which the same designers are curators and which will run through some FNACs in the country.

The inauguration will take place with the launch of a 2nd edition of the CD, with a different option in visual terms, although based on the same graphic and editorial project and with a bonus track.
