After several successful projects on television, the actress and comedian Ana Arrebentinha is the protagonist, in her debut in the seventh art, in the big summer release of this year: the film “Um filme do caraças!” (“A hell of a movie!”) directed by Hugo Diogo for the audiovisual production company, Lanterna de Pedra.
In addition to Ana Arrebentinha, this project has the participation of well-known Portuguese names such as: Pedro Alves, Eduardo Madeira, Herman José, José Pedro Gomes, Diogo Carmona, António Machado, Francisco Menezes, Dinarte Freitas, among others.
Ana Arrebentinha left Amareleja, in Alentejo, to study theater in Lisbon. After several years dedicated to theater as an actress and later as a theater teacher, a role she wants to keep for the sheer pleasure of teaching, Ana Arrebentinha entered the Portuguese household through some of the most iconic national television programs such as Big Brother, Got Talent, Somos Portugal and Arrebenta a Selfie.
In this film, Ana Arrebentinha plays two characters. Quoting Ana Arrebentinha “They are two different people, the actress is a super professional woman, she always arrives on time, she has enormous respect for acting. The character is a completely crazy woman who suffers for love, with exaggeration. It’s a mountain of emotions.”
Ana Arrebentinha says that “A hell of a movie!” – ”It’s the beginning of a cycle, it’s the return to acting and pure and hard comedy. This film has an extraordinary cast and crew. They allowed me to enjoy every moment while performing. I always felt good disposition and professionalism from them.”
With regard to stand-up comedy, the comedian Ana Arrebentinha will finish this year her solo show “Coisas de Mulheres” which ran throughout the country from north to south and will debut her new show in 2023.
SYNOPSIS:
A bizarre accident forces a disreputable producer to replace the established director of his very expensive and delayed next film with the most unlikely solution… An adult film director having great (and hilarious) difficulties adapting to his new role!
The film, written by Hugo Diogo and André Mateus, is scheduled for the 17th of August and filming took place between May and June.
