The fado singer from Oliveira de Azeméis, was yesterday at the Centro Cultural de Belém, and was welcomed by a house full of fans and friends, for a night when fado was King.
Ana Margarida quickly conquered the audience with her friendliness, smile, and charming voice, sang fados from her repertoire but also left some new ones, which will be present on her new album.
He already has more than 10 years of career, a professional path that started in 2008 in Porto, where he was awarded the Revelation Prize at the Fados Gala at Teatro Sá da Bandeira. Already in Lisbon, he has sung and enchanted in some of the most emblematic Casas de Fado in the city, such as Sr. Vinho, Adega Machado, A Severa, Fado à Carmo, and Maria da Mouraria.
In 2011 he took his Fado across borders, first in Switzerland and then in Spain, France, Holland, Germany, Russia, Romania, Luxembourg, and recently in Morocco and Poland.
Ana Margarida has participated in several musical projects, such as Os Fados by João Gil and João Monge, and also by Navegar é Escolha, a project that unites Fado, Morna, and Samba, Bela Ensemble, and Rio Lisboa.
In March 2022, she started an artistic residency at Fábrica Braço de Prata with Fado being accompanied by different sounds and formations. Fado singer with a journey hand in hand with fado, as she showed yesterday, but open to new sounds.
