Ana Moura debuts on October 5 at the Sydney Opera House

The Portuguese fado singer Ana Moura performs for the first time on October 5 at the Sydney Opera House in Australia, one of the most important concert halls in the world, was announced today.

After Sydney, Ana Moura performs in another Australian city, Melbourne, on October 7, at the Melbourne International Arts Festival.

Although it is the first time she performs at the Sydney Opera House, this is the third time the fado singer has given concerts in Australia.

Ana Moura has been on a world tour since the end of 2015, when she edited “Moura”.

The fado singer released the first album in 2003, “Keep Me in the Hand”, followed by others like “It Happened” (2004), “Para Além da Saudade” (2007), “Take Me to Fados” 2009) and “Desfado” (2012), “the most sold Portuguese album of the decade and that remains in the best selling disc in Portugal since its launch.”

Recently, Ana Moura was invited by U2 to give voice to the #womenoftheworldtakeover movement.

After collaborations with Prince, Rolling Stones, Andrea Bocelli and Benjamin Clementine, the Portuguese fado singer joined the choir that, in all the shows of the current U2 tour (# U2eiTour), sings, in a video exhibited at the venue, “Women of the World “by Ivor Cutler.

Before traveling to Australia, Ana Moura works in Elvas today.

After the shows in Sydney and Melbourne, the fado singer has several performances scheduled in Portugal – on October 19 in Matosinhos, on October 26 in São Miguel, Azores, on November 3 in Sintra, on November 17 , in Santa Maria da Feira, and on November 24, in Viana do Castelo.

By 2019, the fado singer has already confirmed a concert in Poland, on April 28 in Gdansk.
