The duo will present their career successes, in addition to the song “Lisboa“, awarded with the Latin Grammy in the category Best Song in the Portuguese Language.
Anavitória returns to Portugal with concerts on the 11th of May, in Porto (Casa da Música), and on the 12th, in Lisbon (Aula Magna). It is an acoustic presentation, voice and guitar, in which the artists sing the greatest hits of their career that began in 2015. The presentations are part of a European tour that will also go through Dublin, London, Paris, Barcelona and Madrid. The duo is formed by Ana Caetano and Vitória Falcão.
“Introducing us again, anywhere, has already been happiness! Being on stage again, after these two years, brings us an even greater awareness of the importance of this space in our lives and in our hearts. Portugal has always embraced us, from the very beginning. We feel very much at home and coming home is always wonderful. We are grateful and happy to finally be able to meet our Portuguese audience”, said the duo, who have a special affection for the country.
“Portugal was our first international destination in life! We remember the feeling of awe of looking at the streets, the people…everything enchanted us and the comfort of the language was the icing on the cake! We identified a lot with this scenario and deepened friendship and partnership relationships because of it”, they added.
The Brazilians, owners of the hit “Trevo (Tu)“, which came to be among the most played songs on Portuguese radio with a recording with Diogo Piçarra, in 2017, are winners of four Latin Grammys (twice as Best Contemporary Pop Album in the Portuguese Language (2019 and 2020) and twice as Best Song in the Portuguese Language (2017 and 2021).
The song “Lisboa“, composed by Ana Caetano during her last visit to the city, was awarded the Latin Grammy in 2021 in the category Best Song in the Portuguese Language. The song has a version in Portuguese with the participation of the singer Lenine and in Spanish called Lisboa-Madrid, with the winner of the Oscar for Best Song, Jorge Drexler.
“I wrote this song together with (Brazilian composer) Paulo Novaes. I met him in Lisbon, hence the title of the song. From that first meeting, we became great friends and accomplices of composition. We live beautiful days in the city. When we thought about what to name, it was easy to choose”, said Ana.
