And the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019… …is the Netherlands

The 64th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, held in Tel Aviv Israel, won the Netherlands.

With 492 points, between jury and public Duncan Laurence of the Netherlands, won the Eurovision Song Contest, the fifth achievement of the trophy with the song ‘Arcade’.

Italy in second represented by Mahmood, with the theme ‘Soldi’, obtained 465 points, and in third Russia by Sergey Lazarev, with the theme ‘Scream’, had 369 points.

For the fifth time, the Netherlands won Eurovision, it triumphed in 1957, 1959, 1969 and 1975. It was the favourite song, with 41 countries competing in bookmakers.

In the final there were 26 countries, among the best qualified in the previous edition, qualified in the 2 semi-finals and the host country:
Cyprus, Czech Republic, Belarus, Serbia, Australia, Iceland, Estonia, San Marino, Macedonia, The Netherlands, Albania, Sweden, Russia, Azerbaijan, Denmark, Switzerland, Norway, Malta, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom and Israel.

Conan Osiris the representative of Portugal, with ‘Cell Phones’, failed to pass the final, being eliminated in the first semi-final.
