After having released a series of singles in recent years, such as “Pertencer a Alguém” and “Tempo de Parar” in 2023 or “Meu Lugar” and “Tu Não Vês” in 2022, composer André Duarte returns with “Nossa Canção”, the presentation theme of the debut album called Complexos.
André Duarte explains what this theme tells us: “it appears as an embrace of the purest form of love, unconditional love. Initially thought to represent pink, the theme was written during an emotional relationship, but recorded 2 weeks after the end of it, so the concept evolved into a more melancholic love. Loving in the past, represented by the gradient from pink to blue.”
“Nossa Canção” is the “calling card” of André Duarte’s first album, Complexos. This album, in the words of the composer, “addresses human complexity by bringing to life 11 characters with contrasting personalities and corresponding colours that, in sum, create the complete artist.”
