Andrea Bocelli announces “Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration”

Recently, iconic Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli announced “ANDREA BOCELLI 30: THE CELEBRATION”, in honor of his 30th anniversary in music. The three-day event, scheduled for Monday 15 July, Wednesday 17 July and Friday 19 July, will take place in Lajatico at the Teatro del Silenzio in Tuscany. Once a year, this breathtaking natural amphitheatre in Bocelli’s hometown comes to life with enchanting musical melodies. This concert series showcases Bocelli’s extensive repertoire alongside captivating duets with other artists, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance.
An unprecedented number of global superstars will descend on the hills of Tuscany to celebrate Bocelli’s 30th anniversary as an international icon. The first list of artists includes Ed Sheeran, Shania Twain, Jon Batiste, Russell Crowe, Sofia Vergara, David Foster, Christian Nodal, Sofia Carson, Laura Pausini, Tiziano Ferro, Zucchero, Giorgia, Matteo Bocelli, Virginia Bocelli and Plácido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Lang Lang, Aida Garifullina, Bryn Terfel, Nadine Sierra, among many others yet to be announced.
“Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration,” the concert film, will be produced by Mercury Studios, Maverick, Impact Productions and CITYSOUND & Events. It will be directed by Grammy-nominated and Emmy-winning director Sam Wrench, who recently directed “Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour”, the most successful concert film at the box office of all time. Wrench has also created live performance films with Billie Eilish, Lizzo, BTS, The Weeknd, among others.
The creative director of the event will be Francisco Negrin, twice nominated for the Olivier Awards, who will bring his unique vision to the heart of Tuscany. Negrin has directed more than 70 critically acclaimed productions at the world’s leading opera houses, including The Royal Opera House in London, Sydney Opera House, New York City Opera and Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Paris.
As one of the most recognized voices in the entertainment industry and revered by fans internationally, Andrea Bocelli has been entertaining audiences for 30 years, with nearly 90 million records sold worldwide. In addition to her sold-out concerts and record-breaking live broadcasts, Bocelli has showcased her talent at many major events, including the Olympic Games, the Football World Cup and Global Citizen. The singer has already won a Golden Globe, seven Classical BRITs and seven World Music Awards, as well as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Additional moments throughout 2024 include a US tour, a new documentary titled “Andrea Bocelli: Because I Believe” produced by Eone and Lions Gate and more exciting music releases and collaborations to be announced soon. Bocelli kicked off the celebration of his 30th anniversary in music at the 96th Academy Awards and impressed the star-studded Hollywood audience with a surprise performance, taking to the stage with his son, artist Matteo Bocelli, for a rendition of very special “Time To Say Goodbye.”
