Andrea Bocelli gives concert on Easter Sunday
Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli accepted the invitation from Milan and the cathedral and will star in a concert that will be broadcast exclusively, live, on the tenor’s YouTube channel, starting at 6 pm.
In view of the need for social isolation, this concert will not have an audience and access to the public was forbidden.
In a statement sent to newsrooms, Universal Music Portugal says that the concert represents “a message of love, healing and hope for Italy and the world”. Indeed, the Milan Cathedral will open its doors “exceptionally for Andrea Bocelli, who will be accompanied only by the cathedral organist, Emanuele Vianelli, playing on one of the largest pipe organs in the world”.
