Angolan and Latin sounds invade the “lives” stage

The musical proposals last Sunday in the usual “lives”, broadcast on national televisions and digital platforms in Angola, were reserved for Afro-Latin, Brazilian, Cape Verdean rhythms and the new generation of Angolan artists.

[dropcap]O[/dropcap]n “Live do Kubico” broadcast on TPA and on Platinaline platforms, from 2:30 pm, musical diversity was marked by the proposal for the young audience with Anna Joyce, Rui Orlando and Edgar Domingos presented it their main successes, the artists slid on the hybrid music appreciated by the youngest and with strong publicity.

With the instrumental support of Banda Guevalmo, Edgar Domingos resorted to “Ruining what is good”, “Adoço” and others during his performance. Anna Joyce and Rui Orlando resorted, among others, to themes such as “You’re not worth anything”, “Destination”, “Sorry” and “Take me with you”.

At the Bar da Luandina, broadcast on TV Zimbo, this month dedicated to bands, Afro-Latin rhythms were highlighted with Banda D-Cubason, while Fabinho and Banda Sensação strolled to the sound of samba and pagode.

The Banda D-Cubason to the rumba, merengue and salsa rhythm explored “La Negra Tomasia”, “Ojala Chueva Café”, among other known themes in the voices of Compay Segundo, Juan Luis Guerra, Glorya Stephan, Célia Cruz, and other Latin references. Banda D-Cubason has been on the market since February this year.

Still at Bar da Luandina, Fabinho and Banda Sensação made a trip to Brazilian rhythms with a repertoire in which they interpreted themes of the Revelation Band as “It’s written”, “Let it happen”, providing a trip through known sambas and pagodas.

From the copyrighted themes “Olha o Funge cuió” brought a samba with an Angolanized message. Banda Movimento is the next attraction at Bar da Luandina.

Another proposal of foreign rhythms happened with the international concert “Angola and Cape Verde a cultural hug”, which brought together Angolan and Cape Verdean artists on the stage of the Atrium Nova Vida shopping center in Luanda.

Also broadcast on RTP Africa, the concert was attended by Nanutu, Euclides da Lomba, Margareth do Rosário, Banda Família Duía and Pedro Rodrigues, composer of well-known themes performed by Bana, Cesária Évora, Tubarões, Ildo Lobo, Tito Paris and other warm and striking coladeras.

From the island were Sandra Horta, Ineide Moniz, Albertina Évora, Zerui Depina, Totinho, and Manuel Di Candinho. The initiative was part of the celebrations of 45 years of Independence of Angola.
