Anitta presents the new single “Funk Rave”

Brazilian superstar has worked with producers Diplo, DJ Gabriel do Borel and Marcio Arantes

Anitta is getting ready to start a new exciting chapter in her journey, marked with the release of her new single, entitled “Funk Rave”. This is the Brazilian superstar’s first track since signing with Universal Music’s Republic Records. The song was produced by Diplo, DJ Gabriel do Borel, and Marcio Arantes.

The song takes us back to the artist’s origins, introducing the world to the culture of Brazilian funk. Anitta revealed her “Funk Rave” earlier this month when she debuted the single live during the Opening Ceremony of the UEFA Champions League Final in Istanbul, Turkey, the most-watched sporting event in the world. This performance left the fans in ecstasy who were waiting with great anticipation for the official release of the song. Anitta delivers this theme that will become a global anthem of Brazilian funk culture.

About the new theme, Anitta says: “All the songs I made last year are songs that I am very proud of. [This new single] is incredibly Brazilian and intentionally international – I made sure to sound like myself in every fiber of the song. Brazilian funk is my roots. It’s where I was born and it’s what I grew up doing. It’s like my home. I made this new song with the intention of showing everyone and all those roots what is most important to me. ‘Funk Rave’ does just that.”

This performance started a campaign around the song, which involved several creators performing the official choreography, using the original audio of “Funk Rave” available on social networks since the presentation in the Champions League final on June 10th. On TikTok it garnered over 20 million views in less than two weeks.

Before the performance, Anitta launched the Instagram Broadcast Channel, which quickly gained more than 300,000 subscribers.

Earlier this year, the artist received a nomination in the category of “Breakthrough Artist” at the 2023 Grammy Awards, being the culmination of a series of historic moments, including being entered in Guinness World Records® as the “First Latin Artist Solo Reaching #1 on Spotify Globally” and being the 2022 winner of the Best Latin Artist awards at the VMAs, EMAs, and AMAs. Meanwhile, his 2022 multilingual opus, “Versions of Me,” racked up millions of streams and earned top positions on Billboard, Rolling Stone, Stereogum, UPROXX, Variety, and more. The singer has confirmed participation in the 7th season of the highly successful Spanish series on Netflix “Elite”, with a premiere scheduled for October this year.

Anitta continues to break barriers by singing in Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, and English, accumulating more than 140 million followers on her social networks.
