Anna Joyce sells out Coliseu dos Recreios

Last Friday, Anna Joyce sold out the Coliseu dos Recreios, in what was her first major solo performance, in Lisbon. And she couldn’t have gone better!

The show began with the surprise participation of comedian Gilmário Vemba who, with his good humor and talent for music – by reinterpreting Anna Joyce’s songs in his own way – warmed the audience up for what was yet to come.

As gargalhadas deram lugar à euforia assim que se anunciou o nome da grande anfitriã da noite.

This was an epic concert that began with themes from the artist’s latest album – “Anna”, followed by “Mandem Mais Boca” and “Pintada de Ouro” – which the public already knows perfectly and which she sang letter by letter.

Accompanied by choreographies and an alternation between her voice and the audience, we listened to “Já Não Combina”, “Isso é de Leve”, “O Final”, “Se Olhasses” and “Leva-me” that anticipated the first musical guest of the night, Rui Orlando, who recalled the hits “Te Amo Tanto” and “Me Leva Contigo”.
Between this moment and the performance of Pérola (who presented everyone with “Fica Parado” and “Sincera”), Anna Joyce gave herself body and soul to the interpretation of the songs “Eu Amo” and “Te Amar”, the highlight of the night. where many did not contain their emotions.

In a more intimate and acoustic format, seated in a high chair in the middle of the stage, Anna Joyce began the third part of the concert. Here, those who hadn’t cried yet, probably couldn’t resist hearing the interpretation of “Meu”. Then, “Curtição” and “Destino” were heard.

In “Só Sei Ler” the audience already felt the urge to get up from their seats and let the body follow the cadence of the music, but it was when Ary took the microphone and the first chords of “Salé” began to be heard that people they ended up giving in.

In the final stages of this epic show, Anna Joyce takes the stage accompanied by a guitar to interpret “Já Não Cabe”, “Também Quero” and “Puro”.

But it was with the great hit “Eu Esperai” – which already has more than three million views on YouTube – that the artist ended the show and, then, the audience went into ecstasy.

Anna Joyce, at Coliseu dos Recreios, was a memorable concert where few were able to hold back tears, including the singer who said goodbye to the audience truly moved.
